Police appealing for witnesses after woman died in hospital following crash in Wahroonga

Police are reappealing for witnesses after a woman died in hospital following a crash at Wahroonga last week.

Emergency services were called to the Pacific Highway just before 4pm on Sunday 21 October 2018, after a Mazda 3 and a Volkswagen Golf collided.

The front passenger of the Mazda, a 36-year-old woman, was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital with critical injuries.

The woman, from Waitara, died on Wednesday 24 October 2018.

The Mazda driver, a 38-year-old man, was treated at Royal North Shore Hospital and has since been released, NSW Police say.


The Volkswagen driver, a 23-year-old woman, was treated in hospital for a broken arm.

Officers from Kuring-Gai Police Area Command are investigating the crash and have releases images of the crash scene as they appeal for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the crash, to come forward.


A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
