Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating following a fatal collision at Glen Waverley last night.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of High Street Road and Arianne Road to reports two cars had collided about 8.55pm.
A 68-year-old Glen Waverley woman, who was a passenger in a gold coloured Mitsubishi sedan, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.
Sadly, she later died from her injuries
The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 66-year-old Glen Waverley man, sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital.
The 19-year-old driver of the other vehicle, a white Ford sedan, sustained minor injuries.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and investigations are ongoing.
