Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision which occurred in St Albans this evening.
Officers have been told a motorcycle was travelling in the citybound lanes of the Western Ring Road about 8pm.
Investigators believe the motorcycle has crashed into the rear of a Ford Ranger.
The rider of the motorcycle, believed to be a man in his 30s, died at the scene.
Police have spoken to the driver of the ute.
