Police are responding to fatal crash – Albion Park

A man has died following a two-vehicle crash in the state’s Illawarra overnight.

About 11pm (Thursday 23 March 2023), emergency services were called to Jamberoo Road, Albion Park – near Terry Street and Ashburton Drive – after reports of a crash involving a Nissan Micra and a Toyota Landcruiser.

The Nissan driver – a 20-year-old man – was treated by police and NSW Ambulance paramedics, however, he died at the scene.

The Toyota driver – a 41-year-old man – was uninjured and taken to Shellharbour Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Lake Illawarra Police District established a crime scene, which will be examined by forensic police, and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
