Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash at Athlone this afternoon.
A vehicle was travelling along Invermay Road when it struck a tree about 5.20pm.
The female driver, who was the sole occupant, died at the scene.
Officers will prepare a report for the coroner.
