Police are responding to fatal crash at Barambah

A woman has died after a fatal, single vehicle crash on the Burnett Highway, Barambah last night.

Initial investigations indicate, just before 11 pm car left the roadway and caught fire.

The driver was deceased on arrival of emergency services and could not be revived.

Police are looking to speak with anyone who saw the car or witnessed the incident.

One lane of the Burnett Highway is open to contraflow traffic and delays are expected.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
