Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal car crash which occurred in Epping this morning.
Investigators have been told a Holden Astra was travelling along Cooper Street about 1.10am.
The driver lost control of the car which left the road and crashed into a tree.
Emergency services attended the scene and treated two teenage girls.
One of the girls, who is believed to be the driver, died at the scene while the other girl was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Police are investigating if the car was stolen at the time of the incident.
