Police are responding to fatal crash, Bardon

A man in his 40's has died following a traffic crash at Bardon this morning.

Initial investigations indicate that at approximately 5.20am a Mitsubishi Outlander station wagon was travelling south on Jubilee Terrace when it has collided with a Toyota Aurion travelling in the opposite direction.

The man in his 40s, the driver and sole occupant of the station wagon, died at the scene.

A 62-year-old Toowong man, the driver and sole occupant of the Toyota Aurion, was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage is urged to contact police.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
