A person has died following a fatal single vehicle crash in Burpengary East this morning, September 9.
Initial investigations indicate at approximately 5.30am, a blue Subaru Liberty crashed along Coach Road West, causing the vehicle to catch fire.
Upon arrival of emergency services, a person was located deceased at the scene.
Forensic testing is now underway to confirm the identity of the person.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision from the area to come forward.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
