Police are responding to fatal crash - Darlington Point, south of Griffith

A man has died in a fatal crash in the state's Riverina District.

About 7.30pm (Friday 2 August 2019), a Holden Astra was travelling east on the Sturt Highway, Darlington Point, south of Griffith, when it left the road and struck a tree.

The male driver, who is not yet identified, died at the scene.

Officers from Murrumbidgee Police District attended the scene and are conducting inquiries into the incident.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
