Police are responding to fatal crash, Deception Bay

Police are seeking witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal traffic crash at Deception Bay last night.

Initial information indicates shortly after 9pm a Toyota and a Ford collided at the intersection of Deception Bay Road and Webster Road.

A 24-year-old Gympie man, the front passenger in the Toyota 4WD, was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with critical injuries and later passed away.

A 28-year-old Margate woman, the driver of the Toyota, and three children who were passengers in that car were all transported to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Ford, a 34-year-old Scarborough man, received minor injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit investigation is ongoing.
