Police are responding to fatal crash, Gold Coast

A 33-year-old man has died after a car crashed into a tree at Pacific Pines yesterday afternoon.

Just before 5pm, a black Mazda 6 was travelling along Pitcairn Way. Initial observations suggest the vehicle clipped a median strip before crashing into a tree.

The 33-year-old Labrador man, who was a passenger in the vehicle, died at the scene.

The driver, a 24-year-old man, and another passenger, a 22-year-old woman, were transported to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the black Mazda 6 prior to crash is encouraged to contact police.

Investigations into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
