A woman has died in a two-vehicle crash in the state's north.
About 6pm last night (Friday 8 August 2025), emergency services were called to the Bruxner Highway, Goonellabah, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to Richmond Police District attended and found a Toyota sedan and a semi-trailer had collided.
The driver of the sedan – an 82-year-old woman – was treated by police and NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, she died at the scene.
The driver of the semi-trailer – a 58-year-old man – was uninjured. He was taken to Lismore Hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
