Police are responding to fatal crash, Helensvale

A 31-year-old Pimpama man has died following a traffic crash at Helensvale today (January 6).

Initial investigations indicate just before 11.30am a crash occurred on the Pacific Motorway southbound between a Nissan Pulsar and a motorcycle.

A second crash has then occurred with the motorcycle and a Mitsubishi Magna.

A 31-year-old man, the motorcyclist, was transported in a critical condition to Gold Coast University Hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.

The occupants of the two vehicles were not physically injured.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash and appeal to anyone with information or dashcam footage of the incident or the moments leading up to it, to come forward.
