Police are responding to fatal crash in Clarence Valley

A man has died following a serious crash in the Clarence Valley overnight.

About 12.20am (Saturday 18 June 2022) emergency services were called to Waterfall Way, Hernani, after reports of a two-vehicle crash.

Officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District attended and were told a Nissan Tiida and a Ford Ranger collided.

The driver of the Nissan Tiida – a 33-year-old man – died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.

The other driver– a 50-year-old man – was treated by NSW Ambulance before being taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established, which was examined by specialist forensic officers.
