A man has died after the car he was driving struck a tree in Irrewillipe, near Colac, this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene following reports a car theft the New Irrewillipe Road and struck a tree shortly before 5.45am.
The yet to be identified male driver, who was the sole occupant of the car, died at the scene.
New Irrewillipe Road is currently closed.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
