Police Are Responding To Fatal Crash - Katherine Region 28 July

The Northern Territory Police Force is investigating following a fatal crash that occurred in the Katherine Region yesterday afternoon.

Around 4:50pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports of a collision between a road train and a Honda CRV, approximately 14km north of Katherine on the Stuart Highway.

Emergency services attended the scene and the sole occupant of the Honda, a 23-year-old male, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The 58-year-old driver of the road train was assessed for minor injuries and later conveyed to Katherine Hospital for blood testing.

A crime scene was established, and investigations remain on going.
