Police are responding to fatal crash, Mount Julian

A 47-year-old Proserpine man has died following a truck and car crash at Mount Julian this morning.

Emergency services were called to the incident on Shute Harbour Road and Tyree Road at 7.17am.

Initial investigations indicate a Mitsubishi Lancer collided with a truck travelling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the car died at the scene while the truck driver was transported to Proserpine Hospital as a precaution.

Police appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has relevant dashcam vision to come forward.
