Police are responding to fatal crash near Griffith

A man has died following a single-vehicle crash in the state's south today.

Just after 11am (Wednesday 5 October 2022), emergency services were called to the intersection of Burley Griffin Way and McDonald Road, Bilbul, about 10km east of Griffith, following reports a vehicle struck a telegraph pole.

The male driver died at the scene; he is yet to be formally identified.

Officers attached to Murrumbidgee Police District have established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
