Police are responding to fatal crash near Wagga Wagga 5 November

Inquiries are continuing following a fatal crash near Wagga Wagga last night.

About 8.30pm (Thursday 4 November 2021), emergency services were called to Holbrook Road, Mangoplah – about 36km south of Wagga Wagga – following reports of a single-vehicle crash involving a truck.

Officers attached to Riverina Police District and Traffic & Highway Patrol attended and, with the assistance of NSW Ambulance paramedics and passers-by, attempted to revive the male driver.

Despite efforts, the driver died at the scene.

A crime scene has been established and inquiries into the incident have commenced.

While the driver is yet to be formally identified, he is believed to be aged in his 40's.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
