A man has died after a crash in Sydney's north west.
Shortly after 1am today (Monday 1 December 2025), emergency services responded to reports of a crash between a car and a truck in the east bound lanes of Lane Cove Road, North Ryde.
A male passenger in the car died prior to the arrival of emergency services.
The male driver and a female passenger in the car were trapped in the vehicle until released by Fire and Rescue NSW.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated both the man and woman at the scene before they were taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The truck driver – a 61-year-old man – was uninjured. He was taken to the same hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers from Ryde Police Area Command have established a crime scene and are awaiting the arrival of officers from the Crash Investigation Unit.
The area is expected to remain a crime scene for a considerable amount of time and motorists are asked to avoid the area.
