A woman has died following a crash in Sydney's north.
About 4.20pm (Friday 21 November 2025), emergency services were called to River Road, Northwood, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command arrived to find two vehicles, a silver sedan and a grey hatchback, had collided.
A driver of the hatchback – a woman believed to be in her 70s – died at the scene.
The passenger of the hatchback – also a woman believed to be in her 70s – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for serious injuries and has been taken to hospital in a critical condition.
The two occupants of the sedan were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for non-life-threatening injuries and have been taken to hospital in a stable condition
A crime scene was established, and an investigation has commenced into the cause of the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
