Police are responding to fatal crash – Riverina region

A man has died following a single-vehicle crash in the states Riverina region yesterday.

About 9.35pm (Friday 24 June 2022), emergency services were called to Canola Way, about 3km east of Ganmain, after reports a vehicle had left the roadway and rolled, before crashing into a tree.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged in his 70’s.

Officers attached to Riverina Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
