Police are responding to serious crash, Blackwater

Police responded to a serious crash between a ute and a car in Blackwater this morning.

The car and the ute reportedly collided at around 5.30am, on Blackwater Cooroorah Road and the Capricorn Highway, trapping a woman, who was the driver of the car.

The 20-year-old Blackwater woman received critical injuries as a result and was transported to the Rockhampton Base Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the ute, a 42-year-old Emerald man, received treatment at the Blackwater Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are seeking information from anyone who witnessed the crash.

The Forensic Crash Unit investigation is continuing.
