Police are investigating a serious traffic crash that occurred on the Bruce Highway around 15 km south of Townsville.
The crash between a sedan and a truck occurred shortly before 5 am.
The roadway at that location is closed for the safety of investigators and drivers are urged to consider alternative routes as the Highway will be closed for an extended period.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
