Police are responding to serious crash at Mawson Lakes, South Australia

Motorists are advised police are at the scene of a serious crash on Port Wakefield Road at Mawson Lakes, after a pedestrian was hit by a truck.

Just before 2.30am on Friday 12 June, police and emergency services crews were called to the south bound track of Port Wakefield Road just north of the Salisbury Highway overpass, after a pedestrian was struck by truck travelling south.

Major Crash Investigators are currently at the scene examining the circumstances surrounding the incident.

All southbound traffic heading to the city has been diverted at Ryans Road. Motorists are asked to sue an alternative route like the Salisbury Highway or the Northern Connector until the scene has been cleared.

North bound traffic on Port Wakefield Road is unaffected.
