Police are responding to serious crash at Shea-Oak Log 1 August, South Australia

A young driver has been injured in a serious crash on the Sturt Highway near Shea-Oak Log.

Emergency services were called to the Sturt Highway at Shea-Oak Log by reports of a crash about 7.20pm on Sunday 1 August. The Holden sedan crashed into a tree near the intersection of Nurse Road and Sturt Highway.

The driver, a 17-year old girl from Cockatoo Valley, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

The car was towed from the scene.
