Police arrest crime gang member with drug and stealing offences

Police from Taskforce Maxima Gold Coast have charged a member of a crime gang known as "DLAST Hour" with a series drugs and stealing offences, Queensland Police say.

Yesterday detectives from Taskforce Maxima Gold Coast executed a search warrant on a Labrador address.

During the search police located a number of drugs, bank cards, licences, number plates and ammunition. A further search of a storage shed at Biggera Waters uncovered a stolen motorcycle.

The 24-year-old man was charged with 34 offences including produce dangerous drug, possess dangerous drug (schedule 1 and schedule 2), possess category R and M weapons, possess explosives, possess tainted property, enter premises, receive tainted property and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

He will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court this morning.

A 29-year-old woman also arrested at the house was charged with one count of possess category M weapon and possess drug utensil. She will appear in Southport Magistrates Court on April 6.

Investigations are ongoing.
