Police arrest driver over fatal crash in Riverland, South Australia

A man has been charged following a fatal crash on private property near Morgan in the Riverland earlier this month.

Just after 6pm on Saturday 6 March, police and emergency services were called to a private property on Wonga Road at Lindley, after reports a ute had crashed and rolled.

Sadly a passenger in the vehicle, a 26-year-old man from Campbelltown died at the scene.

The driver of the utility, a 29-year-old Rostrevor man along with two other passengers in the vehicle, a 34-year-old Tanunda man and a 29-year-old Klemzig man were flown to Adelaide with non-life threatening injuries.

Following an investigation by Major Crash officers, the driver was arrested today (Friday 26 March) and charged with causing death by dangerous driving and two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

He was bailed to appear in the Berri Magistrates Court on 31 May.
