Police arrest eight people in Operation Grande

Police have arrested eight men after a number of warrants were executed following two alleged aggravated burglaries in Keysborough and Clayton South, Victoria Police say.

Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit officers executed warrants at Deer Park, Yarraville and Cairnlea as part of a three night operation, Operation Grande.

Police seized two cars and a large amount of cash during the arrests.

A 19-year old Yarraville man was charged with aggravated home invasion, burglary, theft, weapons offences, conspiracy to commit burglary, false imprisonment and possess property suspected of being proceeds of crime.

A 20-year old Cairnlea man was charged with aggravated home invasion, burglary, theft, weapons offences, possess cannabis and conspiracy to commit burglary.

A 22-year-old Cairnlea man was charged with aggravated home invasion, theft, and conspiracy to commit burglary.

An 18-year old Deer Park man was charged with aggravated home invasion, burglary, theft, weapons offences, false imprisonment and conspiracy to commit burglary.

A 25-year-old Yarraville man was charged with aggravated home invasion, theft, conspiracy to commit burglary and commit indictable offence while on bail.

A 20-year-old Deer Park man was charged with aggravated home invasion, burglary, theft, false imprisonment and conspiracy to commit burglary.

A 21-year-old Cairnlea man was charged with possession of cannabis and a 22-year-old Cairnlea man was charged with possession of cannabis and possess property suspected of being proceeds of crime.

They will all appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
