Police Arrest Four At Munno Para Supermarket

Four people were arrested after a disturbance in a Munno Para supermarket this morning.

Police were called to the supermarket on Peachey Road, Munno Para just before 11am on Sunday 28 September by reports of a fight in the store.

Patrols quickly arrived and located a 52-year-old man with a leg injury. It will be alleged the man, who was a bystander, fell while trying to intervene in the fight and suffered a leg injury.

Four people, all from the northern suburbs, were arrested at the scene.

A 17-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl were charged with affray.

A 16-year-old boy was charged with carry offensive weapon.

A 47-year-old Andrews Farm man was charged with disorderly behaviour.

The teenagers were bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Youth Court on 21 November, while the adult will face the Magistrates Court on 10 November.

Police wish to reassure the community the arrested people involved in the disturbance are all known to each other, and this was not a random incident.
