Police arrest man after assault - Granville

A man has been arrested after an alleged assault in Granville today.

Just after 3pm (Monday 29 June 2020), emergency services were called Good Street and found a man suffering a severe laceration to the right forearm.

Police were told the two men became involved in an argument before one man hit the other man with a ceramic vase.

A 30-year-old was treated at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment in stable condition.

A 34-year-old man was arrested nearby on Bridge Street and taken to Parramatta Police Station.

He was also treated for cuts to his right hand.

Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command established a crime scene and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the event is underway.

Police believe the men are known to each other.
