Police arrest man after Croydon pursuit

Croydon Divisional Tasking Unit officers arrested a man following an alleged pursuit in Croydon on 20 March.

It is alleged a pursuit was initiated after the driver of a stolen Hilux failed to pull over in Croydon just after 12.30am.

The vehicle was abandoned at the corner of Maroondah Highway and Croydon Road a short time later and the offender fled the scene.

A 24-year-old man was arrested today at a Mooroolbark shopping centre about 12.20pm.

He is currently in custody and expected to be charged with reckless conduct endangering life, theft of motor vehicle, possess methamphetamine, pursuit and weapons offences.
