Police arrest man after Dandenong death

Detectives from the Homicide Squad have today arrested a man in relation to the death of a man in Dandenong in July.

Police executed a search warrant at a property in Meadow Heights early this morning.

A 27-year-old Meadow Heights man has been charged with murder.

He has also been charged with intentionally cause injury in relation to a separate victim.

He was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 11 February, 2022.

The charge follows a fire at an apartment building on 9 July where a 27-year-old Dandenong man was discovered deceased at the scene.

Emergency services were called following reports of the fire about 8.15am.
