A man has been arrested following a domestic incident at Rostrevor.
Just before 4pm on Monday 16 August, patrols were called to a house on St Bernards Road, after reports a man had assaulted two women known to him at a neighbouring property.
Police negotiated with the man and he was taken into custody several hours later by STAR Group officers.
The 43-year-old from Rostrevor is expected to be charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
The two women were not physically injured.
St Bernards Road was closed for several hours but has since reopened to all traffic.
