Police arrest man after evading police in Kings Park

Brimbank Highway Patrol arrested a man after he fled on a motorbike in Kings Park last night (29 April).

Officers spotted the motorbike allegedly speeding as it travelled north on Kings Road about 10.50pm.

Police attempted to intercept the rider however he failed to stop and continued into Garry Court.

The motorbike collided with the police vehicle in Garry Court before the male rider fled on foot.

Police took chase and arrested the 26-year-old Tarneit man without incident.

He has been charged with drug possession, commit indictable offence whilst on bail drugs and traffic offences and remanded to appear at Sunshine Magistrates' Court today.

No one was injured as a result of the collision.

The man's motorbike was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $950.00
