Detectives from the Sexual Crimes Squad have arrested a man in relation to a sexual assault in Footscray last Friday.
The 35-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested about 2pm today at a property on Flemington Road.
He will now be interviewed in relation to the incident.
Police yesterday issued a public appeal in relation to the whereabouts of the man following a sexual assault at a residential property in Footscray on 28 February.
The investigation remains ongoing and police are not searching for anyone else in relation to the incident at this time.
