Police arrest man after Hillside shooting

Armed Crime Squad detectives have arrested and charged a man today (29 August) in relation to a shooting in Hillside on 12 June.

Detectives have been told a man sustained a gunshot wound at an address in Bellevue Boulevard sometime around 9.40am.

The 53-year-old Hillside man was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident is not believed linked to any other incidents police are aware of.

A 51-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with reckless conduct endangering serious injury and various offences.

He has been remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 4 September.
