Police Arrest Man After Morwell Fatal

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a man following a fatal collision in Morwell on Thursday morning.

A man was located deceased on the Princes Freeway overpass, which runs over Princess Drive, just before 9am.

Police believe the 40-year-old Traralgon man was struck by a vehicle sometime between 1am and 9am on 22 May.

A 28-year-old Lakes Entrance man was arrested in Bairnsdale yesterday afternoon and has been interviewed by police.

He has been released pending further enquires.

Police are continuing to appeal to motorists who were travelling Traralgon bound on the Princes Freeway during this time to check their dashcams.
