Police Arrest Man After Planned Operation At Waterloo

A man has been arrested following a planned police operation into the supply of illegal vapes in Sydney's south.

A 47-year-old man was arrested by tactical police about 9:50am today (Wednesday 13 August 2025), following a planned operation in a carpark on the corner of Botany Road and McEvoy Street.

The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics after a Taser was deployed to effect his arrest; he has been taken to hospital to be checked as a precaution.

Following the arrest, officers from South Sydney Police Area Command executed a search warrant at premises on George Street, Waterloo.

Investigations are ongoing.
