Police arrest man after police operation – South Penrith

A man has been arrested following a police operation in Sydney’s west today.

About 11am (Tuesday 4 May 2021), officers were called to Smith Street, South Penrith, following reports in relation to the concern for the welfare of a woman.

On arrival, police spoke with the 22-year-old woman, who indicated she had been injured during an altercation with a man at a nearby property.

She was taken to Nepean Hospital, where she remains in a stable condition.

Three further men and a woman were detained at the property for a short period while police cleared the home.

One of the men, aged 26, was allegedly found in possession of prohibited drugs but has been taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment.

Nepean detectives have launched an investigation into the incident.
