A man has died after being pulled from the water on the Mid North Coast over the weekend.
About 6am, on Sunday 27 September 2026, emergency services were called to One Mile Beach, Forster, following reports a 76-year-old man had pulled from the water unresponsive.
A surf lifesaver, with the assistance of an off-duty doctor and officers from Manning/Great Lakes Police District performed CPR on the man.
NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and continued to treat the man before he was taken to Manning Base Hospital in a critical condition.
Today (Monday 28 September 2026), police were notified the man had died in hospital.
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
