Police arrest man after Seaford car break-ins

Frankston uniform police and Transit officers have arrested a man following an alleged spate of thefts from motor vehicles at Seaford Railway Station yesterday (24 April).

It is alleged a man had broken into a number of vehicles parked at the Railway Parade station and stole various items.

Police were called to the area about 2.45pm after a passer-by reported a man allegedly behaving suspiciously.

They arrested a 42-year-old Seaford man at the scene.

The man has since been charged with seven counts of theft from motor vehicle, four counts of attempted theft from motor vehicle and one count of commit indictable offence while on bail.

He has been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court today (25 April).
