Police arrest man after service station robbed at Campbelltown

A man has been arrested after a service station was robbed in Sydney's South West.

Just after 3pm (Saturday 22 May 2021), officers from Campbelltown Police Area Command responded to reports of an armed robbery at a service station on Queen Street, Campbelltown.

Police have been told a man who was armed with a knife followed a female attendant into the area behind the counter and demanded cash; taking a small sum then fleeing.

Police from Campbelltown Police Station – which is directly opposite the service station – responded immediately, arresting a man in his 20s within minutes.

The attendant was shaken but otherwise uninjured.

The man has been taken to Campbelltown Police Station and is currently assisting with inquiries.
