Police Arrest Man After Stabbing In North Adelaide

A man was arrested after an alleged stabbing at North Adelaide last night.

Police and paramedics were called to O'Connell Street, North Adelaide about 10.30pm on Saturday 27 December by reports a man had been stabbed in the shoulder.

It will be alleged the man had been riding a scooter in the area and became involved in an altercation with a group of people. During the scuffle the 22-year-old man from Victoria sustained a minor injury to the shoulder.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police searched the area and located the suspect nearby.

A 49-year-old Adelaide man was arrested and charged with assault cause harm. He did not apply for bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow, Monday 28 December.

The knife used in the assault was located on the roof of a building and retrieved with the assistance of MFS crews.
