Police arrest man after truck stolen from Salisbury South, South Australia

A man has been arrested after a truck stolen from Salisbury South was tracked to a dirt road at Buckland Park.

Just after 1.30pm on Sunday 10 March a prime mover and trailer was stolen from a building business at Salisbury South.

The business owners had fitted the truck with a GPS unit so they were able to track the truck's location as it headed north towards Virginia then on to Beagle Hole Road at Buckland Park.

A search by patrols along a narrow dirt road on the salt pans found the stolen truck stuck on a bridge with the male suspect still in the driver's cab.

The 33-year-old man from Salisbury Downs was arrested and charged with serious criminal trespass and illegal use of a motor vehicle, he has been refused police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Tuesday .
