Police arrest man and woman in inquiries continue, after stabbing at Eagle Vale

Detectives investigating the stabbing of a man at Eagle Vale earlier this week have arrested and charged a man and woman.

Emergency services were called to a sporting complex on Eagle Vale Drive just before 3.30pm on Sunday (2 May 2021) following reports of a brawl.

Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command attended and located a man with multiple stab wounds.

The man, aged 21, was treated at the scene before being taken to Liverpool Hospital, where he underwent surgery and has since been released.

A crime scene was established, which was examined by forensic officers, detectives launched an investigation into the incident.

Following inquiries, police yesterday arrested an 18-year-old woman at Ruse. She was taken to Campbelltown Police Station where she was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (accessory after the fact), and tamper with evidence with intent to mislead.

Following further inquiries, police executed a search warrant at a home in Ambarvale just after 7.30am today (Friday 7 May 2021).

During the warrant police located and seized a number of items.

Just after 11am, another warrant was executed at a home in Rosemeadow where police seized a number of items, including a machete.

A 19-year-old man was arrested at the Ambarvale home and taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and affray.

The man and woman were both refused bail and appeared at Campbelltown Local Court today (7 May 2021), where they were remanded in custody to reappear on 30 June 2021.

Inquiries into the stabbing are continuing, and anyone with information is urged to come forward.
