Police arrest man for distributing extremist material

Police from the State Protective Security Branch have arrested a man after he allegedly distributed extremist material.

Acting on information received earlier this month, police arrested a 53-year-old man from Edwardstown yesterday and charged with distributing extremist material.

Police will allege the man posted a link online to footage related to the Christchurch shooting which occurred in 2019 at two mosques. The material is considered to be extremist.

The man has been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 2 June.
