Police Arrest Man For Drugs At Felixstow

A man will face court today after police uncovered prescription and illicit drugs in his car and at a Paradise home overnight.

Police and paramedics were initially called to a car park at Felixstow just before 11.30pm on Thursday 8 October by reports that a man was slumped in the driver's seat of a car.

Also of concern to the public and emergency services; there were two children in the car.

It will be alleged police found 28.85 grams of methamphetamine, a quantity of GHB, prescription medication and $1665 in cash in the vehicle, and the driver was arrested.

Police subsequently searched his Paradise home with a drug warrant and allegedly located further quantities of prescription medication.

The 44-year-old Paradise man was charged with driving under the influence and with a child in the car, driving unlicensed, unregistered and uninsured, possessing prescription medication without a prescription and trafficking in a controlled drug.

He was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.
