A man has been arrested after the death of another man at Mount Barker last night.
Just before 10pm on Monday 2 March police were called to Paterson Lane after reports of a disturbance.
A 39-year-old man had been taken to hospital in a private vehicle, and the suspect had fled the scene.
Police searched the area and located the suspect a 25-year-old man from Pooraka nearby where he was arrested.
Sadly, the victim died a short time later.
The arrested man has been charged with murder and be refused police bail.
Police advise this was not a random incident and both men were known to each other.
No one else is being sought in relation to the death and investigations are continuing.
